Thinking about contributing your time, career goals change or taking a long vacation off work and in the country? Chakig Eco Eco Tourism offers unique and flexible volunteer placement opportunities in the following categories;
- Health, work with our team to provide health services in community clinics and health centres.
- Education, are you a teacher practising or retiring, thinking of pursuing a career in education? We offer hands-on teaching experiences to visiting schools as well as our school and community outreach programs.
- You can help inspire and mentor young people in community schools or youth out of school.
Time: Throughout the year
- Animal caretaking. Do you want to develop a career in wildlife or animal keeping? Work alongside our dedicated and trained staff as a shoulder keeper and acquire all the basic animal husbandry practices.
This is a specialized program and hence requires health clearance and insurance cover for all participants.
- Agroforestry
- Eco System research activities; get involved with Centres of higher learning in collaborative research and innovation.
Fees:
- 250,000 UGX for 1 week (Ugandans)
- 300 USD for non-Ugandans with accommodation included
